Bank of Ireland's online banking service www.365online.com has won the best online banking award at the Irish Internet Association's (IIA) Net Visionary Awards. The awards received over 300 nominations and over 50,000 votes and are unique in that they are nominated and voted upon by members of the public.

Bank of Ireland was the first bank in Ireland to introduce direct channel banking and www.365online.com went live to customers in September 1997. Currently there are 650,000 customers registered for the service which has experienced a 30% increase in the number of online transactions so far this year - over 4 million transactions conducted online between January and September.
