Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM) continues to strengthen investment team

Leona Nicholson rejoins BIAM as Head of Irish Equities and Head of Global Equity Product.

Leona Nicholson will rejoin BIAM in September as Head of Irish Equities and Head of Global Equity Product.

"Leona was a long-standing and highly-regarded senior member of the BIAM investment team for close to 20 years and we are delighted to welcome her back. She has a tremendous depth of experience and investment skill, and I believe she will make a significant contribution to the future success of the team" said Chris Johns, Head of Equities and Global Research, BIAM.

Lance Graham joins from AIB Investment Managers

Lance Graham has been appointed Head of UK Equities and Co-Manager of Eurozone Equities.

Lance joins BIAM from AIB Investment Managers where he was responsible for the management of UK Equities and AIBIM's Global Equity Product. He was also responsible for the pharmaceutical, media and mining sectors of the pan-European funds.

In a portfolio management career spanning 14 years, Lance has also worked for Glasgow Investment Managers and for Guardian Royal Exchange Asset Management. Lance graduated from Edinburgh University in 1993 with a 1st Class Honours degree in Genetics.

Peter de Lacy joins from Marble Bar Asset Management in London

Peter de Lacy has been appointed a Senior Research Analyst and will specialise in the technology and telecommunications sector.

Peter has more than a decade's experience as an investment professional and has worked for a range of investment houses including: Marble Bar Asset Management, DE Capital Management, Threadneedle Investments, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Guinness Flight Global Asset Management (now Investec).

Peter was educated at Dublin City University, where he received a BA in International Marketing and Japanese. He also studied at Sophia University, Tokyo.

Brian Routledge appointed Head of BIAM's Concentrated Global Equity Product

Brian Routledge, in addition to his role as Head of US Equities, has been appointed Head of BIAM's Concentrated Global Equity Product.

Brian has more than 18 years' investment management industry experience. He joined BIAM from Citigroup Asset Management in Stamford, Connecticut. He has a BSc (Finance) from St. John's University, New York and is a CFA Charterholder

Ivan Fox, who was responsible for Irish equities and financials research is leaving BIAM to establish a wealth management business in conjunction with a corporate partner. We would like to thank Ivan for his contribution and we wish him well with his future endeavours.

Commenting on today's announcement, Mick Sweeney, Chief Executive Officer, BIAM said: We now have significant expertise and talent across all asset classes - with these latest appointments, we have largely completed the restructuring and build out of our investment team."
