Bank of Ireland appoints new Head of Global Specialised Finance

    Bank of Ireland today (14 June 2007) announced the appointment of Adrian Sainsbury as Head of Global Specialised Finance. Adrian will be based in London and will have responsibility for the Bank?s specialised lending and UK corporate activities including asset based lending, media finance, healthcare, shipping and general UK Corporate business.

    Adrian has extensive knowledge of the UK corporate banking market. He joins Bank of Ireland from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) where he was Managing Director of Domestic Banking Services within UK Corporate Banking and a member of the UK Corporate Banking Board. Prior to that Adrian was Head of the Business Banking Debt Products Team at Barclays. He has also been Managing Director of the invoice finance divisions of both Barclays and RBS. During 2005-6 Adrian held the position of Chairman of the Factors & Discounters Association, the industry body for invoice finance and asset based lending markets in the UK and Ireland.

    Bank of Ireland has recently been Mandated Lead Arranger on a number of high profile financing deals in the UK including; Boosey & Hawkes, MFI, Royal Worchester & Spode, Nuaire, Cambridge Waste and BAA.
