Bank of Ireland Asset Management today (Monday April 30, 2007) announced the following appointments:
David Thompsonhas been appointed Head of Macro Fixed Income and Absolute Return Products.
He joins BIAM from his most recent role as Director & Principal Trader with Allied Irish Capital Management (AICM), a global macro CTA and hedge fund.
Prior to joining AICM, David held various positions in Bank of Ireland Global Markets including Head of Proprietary Trading and Head of Euro Fixed Income Investments. David joined Eagle Star in 1987 and moved into an investment management role in 1992.
In his new role, David will be responsible for macro fixed income and foreign exchange investment across the BIAM product suite. He will also be responsible for setting up and managing fixed income and foreign exchange absolute return funds both for direct client investment and as a building block for other funds.
Caleb Kylehas been appointed Senior Property Fund Manager.
Caleb joins BIAM from Irish Life Investment Managers, where he is currently Senior Property Fund Manager for their UK Life Fund. He has also been responsible for the sourcing and acquisition of property for structured syndication within Irish Life.
Caleb previously worked with Lisney where he was Divisional Director of their commercial industrial agency. He is a member of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute and an associate member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland. He holds an MBA in Construction and Real Estate and also holds a BSc (honours) Degree in Estate Management from Jordanstown.
With over 12 years' experience in the commercial property market, Caleb will play a key role within BIAM's growing property asset management team.
Adam Mac Nulty, who has been a member of the BIAM investment team since 2001, has been appointed Head of EAFE (Europe, Asia and Far East equities) Product. This follows Leona Nicholson's decision to leave BIAM. Leona was Head of EAFE Product since 2004. Adam is currently Head of Concentrated ACWI, a specialist equity fund spread across similar markets to the EAFE product.
Adam joined Bank of Ireland Group in 1992 and worked at the Group's Corporate Banking and Treasury operations prior to joining Bank of Ireland Asset Management in 1997. He is an Economics graduate and holds a Master's Degree in Business Studies (Financial Services) from University College Dublin. He is also a CFA charterholder.
