Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking establishes its first dedicated corporate healthcare team

06-Dec-05

    UK long-term healthcare is a £10bn+ market

Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking today announced that it has established a dedicated healthcare team that will focus on the large sized corporate healthcare market in the UK. The team will be led by Tony Martyn, Director, Corporate Banking and will be supported by Orla Halpenny, Senior Manager.

Speaking at the announcement Finbarr O'Neill, Managing Director, Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking said:
'Our strategy is to focus on expanding into high growth niche sectors internationally. The establishment of this specialist healthcare team is one of the building blocks of this strategy.

'Bank of Ireland has a long established healthcare team in London specialising in mid-market transactions and this will continue to be a focus area in the UK. However, there is a strong demand for larger scale debt for healthcare providers in the UK. This new team will complement our existing healthcare operations, focusing on larger transactions in a market worth in excess of £10 billion.'

Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking will focus on a relationship-based approach, with customer needs determining the service from its comprehensive banking propositions.
