Bank of Ireland today (Friday 13 August) announced the roll-out of 30 retail ATMs to Fareplay @ Statoil stores, all of which will be located on the eastern seaboard region. It is envisaged that a further 30 will be installed in other Fareplay @ Statoil stores.
The deployment of these ATMs and the agreement with Fareplay @ Statoil is part of Bank of Ireland's plan to install 500 retail ATMs in convenient locations to provide greater customer access to cash services. To date the Bank has installed 440 retail ATMs nationwide.
Ger Moffatt, Head of ATM Strategy, Bank of Ireland said: 'We are delighted to announce this agreement with the market leading Fareplay @ Statoil brand. We are very conscious of the increased demand for easy and convenient access to ATMs throughout the country and are pleased to respond to that demand in a meaningful and comprehensive way'.
Bank of Ireland ran a pilot in 6 Fareplay @ Statoil outlets, the results of which have been very successful. Customer feedback has been hugely positive, as the presence of ATM access expands the range of other convenient services that Fareplay @ Statoil offers customers.
Frank Gleeson, Fareplay's Retail Operations Manager, said: 'We are delighted to be working closely with Bank of Ireland on this initiative which will provide our customers with cash services in-store. This builds on our existing policy to focus on extending the services and products that we offer customers in our stores'.
