Ronan Murphy was appointed to his present position on 1st January 2004. His responsibilities include Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory and Compliance Risk and Basel 2.
Ronan joined Bank of Ireland Group in 1987 from Citibank, where he had experience in corporate banking, finance and venture capital. Since joining the Group, he has held senior positions in Corporate Banking and as Managing Director of Bank of Ireland International Finance.
He is an Economics graduate of University College Dublin.

Tony, a Canadian, has a masters degree in mathematics from the University of Waterloo in Canada. He has worked for Midland Bank, Guardian Royal Exchange, AT&T, NewPower and Abbey National in a wide range of IT and operational roles.

Christine is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources activities, Group Corporate Secretariat and Group Corporate Communications. She brings a strong international Human Resources background to Bank of Ireland, gained from wide ranging senior HR roles she has held with Computer Science Corporation, British Telecommunications and AT&T in the United States, London and also the Middle East.
